- 25mm PIR + 22mm Kronospan Fast Protect chipboard floor (laid Early April 2025)
- 6mm cable available for cooker (repurposed from old shower circuit)

Section titled “Completed”- Floor insulation - 25mm PIR + 22mm chipboard (~47mm buildup) (Early April 2025)
- Old units removed (built-under fridge gone) (April 2025)
- Electrical prep - 6mm cable for cooker (April 2025)
- Original build debris removed (core drill dust from decades ago) (12 April)
- Corner trim fitted (perfectly cut, piloted, screwed, glued) (18 August)
- Sink sealed (21 August)

- Layout changes - door to utility being blocked up

Layout Changes

- Undermount 1.5 bowl stainless sink (no drainer - dishwasher household)

- Base units on CLS timber frame (legs every 600mm)
- Upstand to hide wall irregularities
Worktop Details
Section titled “Worktop Details”- Solid oak, 40mm, Osmo TopOil finish
- Router jig for L-shape mitre joint
- Sink cutout: radius/chamfer edges, well sealed
- False mitre return possible (45-degree look, butt joint strength)
- Wall between dining and kitchen: single block, up to loft, roof sits on it
- Wren fitting quote was £6k - self-fitting instead
- Double Belfast sink was in utility (basic sink temporarily)
- Cup rail needed under wall cupboards (30”, 18”, 18” lengths)
